Graphic design has applicability in magazines, advertisements and product wrapping. For instance, a product package might comprise of a logo, organized text and pure design elements. However there are points of differences between a professional graphic designer and an amateur designer. Take an admired illustration effect, for example: the gradient. A professional designer loves to have gradients. But professional designers will use them in moderation and with great care whereas amateurs use very heavy shadows. But in case of experienced designers, they will produce only noticeable effects that create a sense of depth and dimension without drawing concentration to themselves.
The graphic design techniques that make a distinction among professional design and amateur one is that the amateur sites often do not get the concentration that a professional would receive.
A professional graphic designer can solve visual communication problems or challenges by analyzing information connected to the issue, and produce potential approaches intended at solving the problem. They understand the social and cultural norms of that audience in order to develop visual solutions that are perceived as relevant, understandable and effective. But an amateur designer doesn’t.
Amateurs have far more informal and relaxed approach to process and critical idea. According to them, distractions cost little and responsibilities are few and have little seriousness. Because of the demands and responsibilities, professional graphic designers think differently than amateurs.
A professional designer produces professional results. A professional graphic designer, first gets into the habit of thinking like a professional. The point of difference between a graphic design professional and everyone else is that professionals design to sell.
There are many professional graphic design professionals who have knowledge and experience to back them and have their own personal brands. Today everything we see, anything that we buy: we see it on billboards, on websites, on birth certificates and on gift certificates, on the folded circulars inside jars of aspirin and on the thick pages of children’s chubby board books has graphic design on it.
